Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Published articles must adhere to the following criteria: The final manuscript must not be a previously published manuscript in other national journals. The manuscript in scientific proceedings may be submitted after gaining clearance from the proceeding’s committee.

General Requirements

The editor of the Indonesian Obstetric Anesthesia Journal magazine received writings on Obstetric Anesthesia in the form of Research Reports, Case Reports, Literature Review, and letters to the editors. The manuscripts considered can be published are complete manuscripts that have never been published in other national magazines. Manuscripts that have been published in the proceedings of scientific meetings can still be accepted if they get written approval from the organizing committee; given information about the name, place, and time of the meeting. The copyright of all contents of the manuscript contained belongs to the publisher and all of its contents may not be produced in any form without the permission of the publisher. All statements in the manuscript are the responsibility of the author. The publisher has the right to edit the text in terms of style, form and clarity without changing the content. Manuscripts that are not loaded will be returned to the author if there is a prior request. The manuscript is written by following the rules of Indonesian language that are good and right. The term medical as far as possible uses standard Indonesian terms.

Research Articles

Original research articles in Obstetrics and Critical Care for colleagues. Research articles consist of: Title in Indonesian and English, abstract in Indonesian and English, introduction, subjects and methods, results, discussion, conclusion, and references.

Case Reports

Case reports consist of interesting clinical cases in Obstetrics and Critical Care for colleagues. Case reports consist of title in Indonesian and English, abstract in Indonesian and English, introduction, case report, discussion, conclusion, and references.

Literature Review

Literature review consist of topics in in Obstetrics and Critical Care for colleagues. Literature review consists of title in Indonesian and English, abstract in Indonesian and English, introduction, literature review, conclusion, and references.

Article Writing

Research Abstract: Less than 250 words. Consists of IMRAD (Introduction, Method, Result, and Discussion). In the introduction containing the background and objectives of the study, the method contains subjects and methods, the results contain the most important results, and the discussion ends with a conclusion

Case Report Abstract: Consisting of introduction, cases, discussion, and conclusions

Literature Review: Consists of introduction, content, and conclusions

Title and Author

he title of the manuscript is written not using abbreviations. Indonesian title, no more than 12 words, English title does not exceed 10 words. he author's name is written in full with an academic degree, the name of the department and institution, as well as a correspondence address and e-mail address of the author.

Abstract and Key Words

Abstract written in Indonesian and English and no more than 250 words.

Tables

Tables and figures are presented in separate sheets and their location is mentioned in the narrative text. The title of the table is placed above and each table is given information according to the numbers written in Arabic numerals. Each abbreviation in the table is given a description in the form of footnotes below the table. Images are numbered with Arabic numerals and names / captions are placed under the images. Descriptions in figures and tables must be informative enough, so that they are easy to understand

Figures

Figures or photograph must be captioned on the bottom of the picture, containing the source of the picture or if the picture was taken independently by the author. Each figure must be given a number according to the order of appearance in the manuscript. The manuscript must not exceed 6 figures in total. If tables are present in the manuscript, the combined amount of both must not exceed 6.

Statistical Methods

The statistical method used must be explained in the methodology chapter. For methods that are rarely used, they should be explained in detail and given reference information.

Acknowledgement

Acknowledgement section is written in brief and concise manner to express gratitude on others whom may have aided in the writing of the manuscript without writing the titles of each individual.

References

References  compiled in accordance with Vancouver provisions, should be no more than 30 pieces and in the form of the latest references in the last 8 years. References are numbered in the order in which they appear in the text. Avoid the use of abstracts and personal communication, unless very important. Journal names are abbreviated according to those listed in the Medicus Index.
