Abstract

Peripheral Nerve Block as an Analgesia Supplement Post-Cesarean Section

Abstract
Delivery by cesarean section is one of the most commonly performed obstetric surgical procedures. As the number of cesarean deliveries increases, the incidence of acute postoperative pain also increases. Multimodal analgesia is one of the strategies for acute pain management after cesarean section and aims to reduce opioid consumption and synergistically provide additional analgesia. In addition to the use of opioids and neuraxial techniques, various types of regional anesthesia, which are often used as an adjunct to analgesics in obstetric or gynecological procedures, include various peripheral nerve block techniques in the abdominal area.
